DIY Holiday Decorations To Make
1. Lighted Burlap Garland
createcraftlove

So easy and so cute, this DIY Christmas garland is a quick homemade decor project you will cherish for years to come. Perfect statement for your rustic, vintage home decor.
2. Gift Wrapped Front Door with Tag
lizoncall

I just love this idea for front door decorating. Personalized and adorable, this is one you can’t find in stores, and not everyone is going to have. Easy, too! You likely have everything you need to make this right now!
5. Tissue Christmas Trees
acreativemomma

I just love how these Tissue Christmas Trees turned out! This post just given me just the inspiration I need for a tree I’ve been wanting to make but couldn’t figure out how to do. The different textures are too awesome. Plus, this paper Christmas tree craft is perfect for keeping the kids occupied this holiday.
6. DIY Snow Globes
onelittleproject

A dollar store snow globe kit and one Christmas village figurine get you most of the way there. Hot glue the figure to the inside seal, add a tablespoon of glycerin so the glitter drifts instead of dropping, then half a teaspoon of iridescent glitter. One Little Project tried silver first and it just looked like silver. Give it a minute before you decide you have ruined it, because the water goes cloudy while the glycerin mixes in, then clears.
8. Christmas Glass Jars
craftandcreativity

Wow, what a pretty and simple mason jar Christmas decorating idea. This Christmas Glass jar is super easy to create and can be done in no time. Perfect for the holiday craziness! Decorate your home this holiday season with these simple Christmas mason jar glass jars. Such an easy, charming touch to your holiday home!
9. Sweater Trees
finditmakeitloveit

I don’t have many Christmas decorations, that’s why, while decorating the mantel for Christmas, I had to work with whatever I had on hand and make extras to fill empty spaces. Decorating for free is the best! Especially when it will only be up for a month. Goodwill is the best place to upcycle sweaters for this no sew sweater Christmas tree craft. This holiday craft is both fun and thrifty.
10. Easy and Fast Glitter Canvas Art
artsyfartsymama

No cutting machine, no stencil, no steady hand required. Print your word out big, scribble over the back of the paper with a pencil, then lay it on the canvas and trace the front hard so the graphite comes through. Fill the letters with glitter bond glue, edges from the bottle and the middle with a brush, then pour on far more glitter than seems reasonable and dump the extra off two hours later. Lindsay used a 16 by 20 canvas and silver.
11. Tin Can Snow Man
soyouthinkyourecrafty

This craft is super simple to make, and way cute, plus it’s a great way to recycle a couple of tin cans! When my husband was a kid, his mom made Christmas decorations out of tin cans all the time, so I figured I’d try my hand at a tin can snowman this year. So glad I found this comprehensive DIY tutorial from Tauni Everett. The little guys look so adorable!
12. Wine Bottles Christmas Display
cleverlyinspired

These are beautiful! I have lots of empty wine bottles to try this on. Fun “green-disguised-as-white” idea! I’m going to have to try this one. I adore the texture the salts give the bottles. I totally think it looks like snow. Any craft that starts with emptying a wine bottle is a good craft. Lord knows I have plenty of wine bottles at my house.

16. Pine Cone Necklaces for Kitchen Ware

17. Concrete Pine Cone Place Card Holders

Poured, not picked up off the ground. These are white concrete, mixed to the consistency of pancake batter and spooned into a plastic pine cone mold, which will never be food safe again so buy one for crafts only. Tap the mold hard against the table to chase the air bubbles out. Sarah glues a small magnet to the back of two halves so they pinch a walnut veneer name flag upright, and one mold makes four.
19. Glitter Votives

21. Wine Glass Stem Candle Holders
acraftymix

Save the stem next time a wine glass loses its bowl. Michelle drills holes in a scrap board, glues the stems in upside down and leaves them overnight, then packs moss and bark around the base to hide every join. A drill and a jigsaw sound like a lot for a candle holder, but that is craft scale tool work and not furniture building, and it is exactly what I keep my saws for. Fair warning on the styling: hers is mossy and woodland, so it will not read as Christmas decor until you put something red on the table.
23. Christmas Ornament Table Decor Idea
housebyhoff

The trick is buying big. April fills a wooden dough bowl with oversized cream and copper marbled ornaments, and because they are so large it barely takes any to fill it, then the small rose gold ones drop into the gaps. Ring it with votives and a few white sprigs, and the table has a centerpiece in five minutes with no glue gun anywhere. Nothing gets damaged either, so every ornament goes back on the tree next year.
24. Scandinavian Wood Block Gnomes
dododsondesigns

Not a log and not quite a Santa, but the same Scandinavian idea in a wood block. Donna cuts a 12 inch piece of 2×4 into a 10 inch triangle. Paint the bottom third as the body and the top as the hat, leaving about an inch of bare wood between them for the face, and a wood ball knob becomes the nose. Cut the faux fur beard from the back with a craft knife, never scissors from the front, which is the difference between a beard and a bad haircut. Hers cost under three dollars each.
