Chicken casserole is one of my favorite entrees and biscuits are perfect for any gathering because almost everyone loves them, I have never actually met someone who doesn’t love a good biscuit. The best of those two worlds came together when, I found this chicken and biscuit casserole video recipe tutorial by Entertaining With Beth, on YouTube. I knew I had found an instant family favorite recipe as soon as I saw it. This is a very simple American farmhouse-style recipe that only uses a few easy-to-find ingredients, and doesn’t take much effort to cook at all.
Ingredients For Beth’s Chicken And Biscuit Casserole:
- 2 chicken breasts (bone-in, skin-on)
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 cup of onion (chopped)
- 1/2 cup of celery (chopped)
- 1/2 cup of carrots (chopped)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1/3 cup of dry white wine
- 1/4 teaspoon of thyme
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons of cold water
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 1/4 cup of heavy cream
- A dash of Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 cup of frozen peas
- 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme
- Canned or homemade biscuits
